Technical stuff:

  • Free Dial-Up Internet Access

OK, so everyone's on broadband these days, and 56kb dial-up internet is so 20th century. But - what if you're stuck in a hotel out in the wilds, with no internet access other than a telephone line? Or your broadband service at home has just packed up, although the phone line still works. And you just absolutely MUST get that sales report e-mailed into the office by the morning? Dial-up access may be just the answer.

If so, you can connect via dial-up modem on 0845 604 0489. No account needs to be set up in advance, and any user-name and password can be used. All you'll pay for is the call-charge.

(HINT: Make a note of this number now - you won't be able to find it here, if you have no other means of connecting!)
